our meetings often begin with clients checking in, followed by focusing on a specific topic, psychoeducational or interpersonal sharing. Confidentiality is explained to the group (registered in the sessions), and are encouraged to talk about their experiences, though they have the option to engage at their own comfort level. Individuals are given feedback both from internal social service workers and partnered agency in support. Their peers offer different perspectives and modeling healthier social skills during the sessions. In addition, the session focuses on managing symptoms, changing unhelpful thoughts, behaviors and building coping strategies.
